Pukaluka the Baby Whale is a story and coloring book about the happy-go-lucky baby whale named Pukaluka and her adventures in the ocean around the islands of Hawaii.

Pukaluka is introduced by her mother to all the interesting creatures of the sea. She meets an octopus, a crab, a starfish, and other critters who become friends with Pukaluka. Of course, as a baby, Pukaluka must also learn how to move and swim like a whale, though like any young creature she has trouble doing some of the things the older whales can do. Pukaluka soon realizes that she can ask all her friends for advice, but things don’t go as planned. As Pukaluka loses her way in the big ocean she is reminded that she is never alone and that sometimes you just have to sing to find your way back to those who love you.

With wonderful illustrations by Dave Fleck and a heart-warming story by Ruth Read, this is a storybook every child will love reading and coloring as they go along. With a cast of colorful characters the story teaches children about friendship, courage, and how to get back on your feet when you fall.

Pukaluka the Baby Whale book also comes in a variety of languages and dual-language books, perfect for parents introducing the love of a second language to their child.
