My search for children’s books illustrator

As I searched the internet for my children’s books illustrator I became confused. I feel it is so important to find the right illustrator. The right illustrator would be able to bring out the qualities of the character as you have written them.
One illustration should be able to tell the part of the story for that page without words on the page. My search was taking months and I turned to asking friends. Finely a friend gave me a website that I could check out. I was so happy and thought from the looks of it that I would no way be able to afford this wonderful illustrator.
I decided that if I didn’t ask, I would never know. Well the price was a little more than I wanted to spend but after much talk back and forth and thinking about it I decided that it would be well worth the extra dollars that it would cost me.
It turns out that I made the right choice; I had found the right children’s books illustrator for my book and I couldn’t be happier.
When I hired Janice Blaine as an illustrator of my children’s books I had some idea from her web site how she might be. However, her professionalism far exceeded my expectations. Her insight into the characters was uncanny and right on the mark. She finished her illustrations way ahead of schedule and when I asked for a little direction she was willing to help. I really loved working with her and look forward to having her illustrate my next book.
It is a pleasure to work with someone as talented and professional as my children’s books illustrator Janice Blaine.
